Janet S. Wong is an independent Board Director and Audit Committee Chairman for Enviva Partners, a leading global energy company (NYSE: EVA). In December 2018, Directors & Board magazine named her as a “Director to Watch.” She also serves on the Advisory Board of BigControls, a San Francisco based cloud software company. Janet is a licensed CPA with more than thirty years of experience in public accounting. She is a retired partner with KPMG where she spent twenty years of her career based in the Silicon Valley and San Francisco offices.
She volunteers as a Lead Executive Advisor to Ascend, the largest non-profit Pan-Asian organization for business professionals in North America, where she is responsible for leading Ascend Pinnacle, the largest network of experienced corporate board directors. Janet co-developed Ascend’s Executive Insight for Asian Women program. She is a co-author of two recent reports published by the Ascend Foundation, “Hidden in Plain Sight: Asian American Leaders in Silicon Valley” and “Lost in Aggregation: The Asian Reflection in the Glass Ceiling”.
In addition to Ascend, Janet’s other volunteer roles include serving as a Trustee for the Computer History Museum located in Mountain View, CA; American Heart Association Southwest Affiliate Board of Directors; Louisiana Tech Foundation Board of Directors; and the Executive Leadership Cabinet for Texas Children’s Hospital. Janet is the immediate past Chairman of the Louisiana Tech College of Business Advisory Board. She is a past recipient of the Louisiana Tech College of Business Alumni of the Year award, Silicon Valley Business Times Women of Distinction award, and the Ascend Inspirational Leadership Award. She earned a master of professional accountancy degree from Louisiana Tech University and a master of taxation degree from Golden Gate University.

Larry, an Executive Advisor at Ascend, is energized to develop, mentor and advocate for Asian-American leaders in Corporate America. He joined the Ascend Board in 2008 and was the co-President Northern California Chapter from 2009 to 2012. Larry co-leads the development of an online, innovative leadership talk show for young professionals.
In July of 2016 Larry was elected to the board of Silicon Valley FACES, a new adventure for him. FACES teach social emotional empathy for at-risk youth students, who in turn, help reduce bigotry, bullying and violence in their local communities.
Larry advised the CFO and COO of Haier as an independent consultant from 2007 to 2009.
Larry retired from HP where his accomplishments included: Transformed IT at Agilent; Grew market share as the Field F&A Controller for Asia Pacific and Latin America Regions; Launched build-to-customer-order-of-one as the VP Supply Chain for the Personal Systems Group; Significantly grew operating profit and cash flow as SVP/CFO for the Personal Computer Organization and as SVP/CFO for the Enterprise Systems Group. During the acquisition of Compaq, he led operational consolidations and significantly increased gross margins for the merged new company.
Larry earned his BSE from the University of Michigan [Go Blue], and MBA from the University of California Berkeley [Go Bears].
