Lukkaew.png

Lukkaew Srasrisuwan

Founder

Makiin

Nestled initially in the world of oil field management, Lukkaew Srasrisuwan's trajectory took an unexpected turn, morphing from the precision of petroleum engineering to the artistic canvas of culinary entrepreneurship. Raised amidst the luxury of The Khanom Golden Beach, her family's esteemed hospitality establishment, Lukkaew ventured into the oil and gas industry, garnering 19 years of experience across 34 countries and managing operations for Schlumberger. However, in 2019, a newfound calling led her to Houston, and the lure of her roots beckoned her back to the world of hospitality. Concept One: Kin Dee Thai Cuisine (Launched 2020) In 2020, Lukkaew embarked on her culinary journey with Kin Dee Thai Cuisine in Houston Heights. This debut concept wasn't just a restaurant; it was a manifestation of meticulous craftsmanship. Lukkaew's transition from oil field operations to the culinary realm was marked by an unwavering commitment to authenticity and attention to detail. Concept Two: M Express Kitchen (Launched as prototype early 2023) Breaking free from the constraints of traditional timelines, Lukkaew's second venture, M Express Kitchen, epitomizes her evolution. From managing oil fields to orchestrating a trendy, delivery-focused culinary venture, she navigates the transition seamlessly. M Express Kitchen, initially prototyped as a ghost kitchen, is a testament to Lukkaew's adaptability in the ever-evolving world of fast food. Concept Three: MaKiin (Opened November 2023) In November 2023, Lukkaew's triumphant transition reaches its peak with the grand opening of MaKiin. This innovative concept, a manifestation of her unwavering passion and collaborative efforts with award-winning chefs, not only reflects her transformative journey but also marks a significant entry into the intricate world of Thai culinary art. At MaKiin, Lukkaew's dedication to authenticity and stylish presentation is evident in every aspect, from the carefully crafted menu to the thoughtfully designed ambiance. What makes this culinary haven truly exceptional is Lukkaew's personal touch in designing the space, adding an extra layer of elegance and breathtaking beauty that leaves patrons in awe. The restaurant's interiors, a testament to Lukkaew's keen eye for aesthetics, exude a captivating blend of Thai cultural elements and modern sophistication. Every detail, from the placement of traditional Thai artifacts to the choice of color schemes, is a reflection of Lukkaew's commitment to creating a dining experience that goes beyond just the palate. Guests at MaKiin not only savor the exquisite flavors of Thai cuisine but also find themselves immersed in a visually stunning environment that bears the unmistakable mark of Lukkaew's design prowess. The seamless integration of culinary artistry and aesthetic appeal sets MaKiin apart, making it a must-visit destination for those seeking an extraordinary dining experience. Concept Four: Thai Tail (Coming Soon) Building on the success of Kin Dee and M Express Kitchen, Lukkaew is set to unveil a fourth concept in Montrose—a fast-casual haven that marries the best of both worlds. This innovative venture will feature a curated selection of dishes, combining the authenticity of Kin Dee's traditional Thai Stir Fried offerings with the modern and convenient flair of M Express Kitchen. As Lukkaew pivots from the precision-driven landscape of oil and gas to the creative world of culinary arts, each concept becomes a chapter in her story of reinvention. Through her ventures, she not only brings the flavors of Thailand to Houston but also demonstrates the fluidity of passion, proving that a career can be as diverse and rich as the flavors she serves.
