Ascend Houston Chapter and ACE NextGen are proud to co-host a women's panel event to discuss topics relevant to both entrepreneurial and career women in today's workforce. We are featuring four panelists: Dr. Rubina Malik, Ping Ni, Linda Toyota and Sophie Zhang, who will be sharing their stories and discussing the following topics:
- Leveraging Emotional Intelligence in professional and personal life
- Having an entrepreneurial and career mindset and taking risks
- Career transitions and how to prepare for right moves in your career
- Work-life balance and juggling the multiple roles that women have
- How owning your narrative has supported your professional advancement

About our Speakers:
Ping Ni is an experienced Accounting Director with demonstrated experience in various functions within large oil & energy companies.
Linda Toyota is VP of Community Engagement and Development at LiftFund and is an experienced nonprofit executive with experience in community engagement, fiscal management, strategic planning. program development and fundraising. She has had various non-profit leadership roles over the course of her career - the President of the Asian Chamber of Commerce and Associate Vice Chancellor Communications and Marketing for HCC and serves as VP of development for Leadership Houston. Linda is an experienced relationship builder with extensive diverse networks.
Sophie Zhang is a Director in Deals, Valuation practice at PwC, with over twelve years of experience in assisting fortune 500 executive management with their business planning and deal strategies, including mergers and acquisitions, spin offs, carve outs, portfolio reviews, legal entity rationalization, capital allocation and investment decisions.
As a strategic advisor to companies from start-ups to Fortune 100 global brands, Dr. Rubina Malik has developed an innovative, customizable model that prepares and positions leaders for success.
